Spread is a game inspired by "Whale Fall."

 In the game, the player takes on the role of a small purple creature that reproduces its population by finding areas on the map that nurture bacteria. At the same time, players need to prevent other bacteria from attacking them. The game is inspired by the death of huge beings and the process of new life multiplying and growing in the skeletons of the dead. The condition for winning is to capture all the incubation zones within a set period. If the player dies or fails to capture all cultural zones within the time limit, the game is lost. This game demonstrates the notion that the demise of an individual life may also provide an opportunity for a new life. Players need to make clever use of the opportunities in the game to grow their populations.
